Acceptance of terms

By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the site

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

• Copy, scrape, harvest, or systematically download content or images without written permission.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or its security features.
• Use the Site for any unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent purpose, or to transmit malware.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.

Intellectual property

All photography, images, text, graphics, logos, and other content on the Site are the property of York Adventures (Michael York) or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, sell, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent. Unauthorized use, scraping, or redistribution of our photography is strictly prohibited. To license an image for editorial, commercial, or personal use, see our Photo Licensing page.

Licenses & print requests

We don’t currently sell prints or downloads through the Site. Image licenses are arranged by email under a separate written agreement — see Photo Licensing or contact hello@yorkadventures.com.

Third-party links & affiliates

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including Amazon search links and México Destination Club member referrals. Michael York is a México Destination Club member. Under the club’s Xhare referral program, the club may give him complimentary hotel nights (not days) when someone he refers meets the club’s profile and attends its full membership sales presentation, and, for some membership types, more nights if that person buys a membership. Referred guests pay nothing extra and are under no obligation to buy. York Adventures is independent of México Destination Club and Grupo Xcaret. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your dealings with them are solely between you and that third party. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Travel information, prices, and recommendations are provided for general guidance and may change. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, York Adventures and Michael York will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or any content, products, or third-party services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which York Adventures operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
